Last night at the 2018 Video Game Awards, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios officially announced the next installment in the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise - Mortal Kombat 11.The game's official release date on console (PS4, Xbox One, Switch) and PC is April 23, 2019.
There will be a special community event on January 17th, which I'm assuming will showcase gameplay and new features.
Pre-orders on console and PC have officially started today. Pre-ordering will get you access to a playable Shao Kahn at launch, as well as early beta access to the game.

It was good how Netherrealm unveiled it. Actually thought it may release in the fall or winter of 2019.
