The LA Times has given us a sneak preview of issue #1 of the official Mortal Kombat X prequel comic book series. The preview images feature two characters who made their debut in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance - Kenshi and Hsu Hao. 
Issue #1 will be available today, with issue #2 to be released on January 11th. You can purchase issues of the digital comic at readdcentertainment.com

Issue #1 spoilers:
Kenshi has a son named Takeda.
Kenshi helped Scorpion conquer his lust for vengeance.
Scorpion is now leader of the Shirai Ryu. Has a beard.
Kenshi was undercover hunting Daegon.
His Cover was blown. Red Dragon killed his son's mother Suchin.
Sub-Zero goes to Red Dragon temple to find a cursed dagger.
Sub-Zero is ambushed by Kano who was hiding in the chamber where the dagger was kept.
Kano already has the dagger and slices Sub-Zero's face with it (signature scar over his eye).
Kano tells Sub-Zero Raiden lied. Says it's time he learned the truth about the "Curse of the Kamidogu"

Love the name drops. So many questions to be answered and I'm glad they are bringing in the other characters.
