HardCordGamer.com had a chance to interview NetherRealm Studios Executive Producer Shaun Himmerick, and he has confirmed that there will not be any console specific characters for Mortal Kombat X like the studio did with Kratos for Mortal Kombat (2011) on Playstation 3.For me personally, that's kind of a relief. I already have an Xbox One, and don't plan on buying a Playstation 4 anytime soon. It would've bothered me to miss out on any characters. However, this news is also bittersweet as well since we can probably rule out any Killer Instinct characters making an appearance in the Xbox 360/One versions, or characters such as Sweet Tooth from the Twisted Metal series being included in the Playstation 3/4 versions.

I'm kind of happy to here that there is no exclusive characters this time around. It would have been cool to play as Fulgore or Jago in MKX but it's no big deal, I'd just play KI!

I'm in no way shape or form disappointed. I'm cool cuz that would have ignited a huge console/fanboy war. As long as there are guest characters, I'm awesome.

I do believe it's better this way. I would have bought the PS3 version if I had that console for MK9.

That's good because Kratos wasn't allowed in tournaments, so he was a waste of time, although he did bring in new crowd to MK.
