Personally, I believe he's been let go by Warner Bros. due to how disappointing Mortal Kombat: Legacy season two was compared to the first. I for one couldn't be happier. Season two was a disaster!

Personally, I believe he's been let go by Warner Bros. due to how disappointing Mortal Kombat: Legacy season two was compared to the first. I for one couldn't be happier. Season two was a disaster!
I enjoyed the first season but season 2 was horrible so let's hope that the movie doesn't suck.

I view this as a potential nightmare as it means the MK film could fall into the shitty clutches of Paul W.S. Anderson (god not again), John R. Leonetti, Uwe Boll or Joel Schumacher! (Though the number 23 was good). Thankfully it isn't on Nolan's radar....

I'd like to see James McTeigue from Ninja Assassin take the helm of the next MK film but not alot of folks liked Ninja Assassin so I don't know.

I have mixed feelings about this... if it is for the fact that Mortal Kombat: Legacy season 2 was not that great, then WB is protecting very well its franchise... on the other hand that means that the movie will be delayed once again... i wish they never told us anything from the start...

I'd like to see James McTeigue from Ninja Assassin take the helm of the next MK film but not alot of folks liked Ninja Assassin so I don't know.
I thought the Wachoskis were behind that one. And the people who didn't like it need their heads examined....maybe....

Oh god no. Nolan would ruin the film franchise further. Michael Bay....maybe just keep the explosions to a minimum...or save them for the grand finale.

Would think he'd have help on it (Nolan) and would not ruin it. Saying they are good directors I don't know about others too much.

Bay I agree with Nolan not so much, I've seen two of his films that were any good (Batman Begins & TDKR), the rest of his work appears to be overhyped ubernonsense. It's not bad it's just not all that great....better than Anderson and Schumacher? Without a doubt. Better than Burton and Tancharoen? Hell no.

Like Bay I can see that. I dunno why but when Zym put the crown I thought he was going to turn into Thulsa Doom. But yeah I could see it.
