Microsoft has just announced at at their E3 press conference today that Killer Instinct is coming to the Xbox One sometime in 2013! It is being developed by Double Helix Games in conjunction with Microsoft Studios.While no official date was given, it's safe to assume 2013 means later this fall, or possibily around the Christmas holiday season.
UPDATE: IGN has revealed that Killer Instinct will be an Xbox One launch day title and will be available through download only. The game is going to use a free-to-play model with only Jago available at the start. You will need to purchase other characters.
UPDATE #2: Double Helix has confirmed that only the demo will come with Jago with the option to buy additional characters. There will be a full version available, as well.

Same. I just hope Microsoft doesn't go all pussy on us and push for a teen rating. These are not superheroes. I want some gruesome No Mercy finishers! Fulgore's machine gun No Mercy and Ultimate from KI and KI2 are some of my favorite finishing moves of all time.

Making any judgements based on those two short videos is just really hasty and stupid. The game is at least six months away from release, if its even going to be a launch title. Still lots of time for improvements and fine tuning.

Now that it's confirmed to be an F2P game with only Jago to start out with, I am done with this. Nice to see KI butchered.

Ugh, that is really disappointing. When prices are finally announced, if the complete game is more than the cost of a typical $60 game, I will sadly be passing on Killer Instinct and the Xbox One. These new schemes game publishers are coming up with to nickel and dime their customers to death is getting scary.

Ultimates and No Mercies aren't planned to be in the game. With the lack of blood in the videos, and now this, it looks like M$ is pushing for a teen rating.

Ultratech is a very powerful megacorporation (entities which, in this future setting, have replaced all governments) which organizes a tournament called Killer Instinct. Along with regular participants, experimental creatures created by Ultratech also fight in the tournament so their strength can be tested. Ultratech also discovers a technology to make bridges between dimensions, and releases a two-headed, one-eyed, satyr monster called Eyedol from this dimensional prison.

So you really have to pay to play as more characters after downloading the game for free? If that's true then that's total BS. I was actually planning on getting the Xbox One but not anymore. Not because of the KI thing but their other flaws. Therefore I'm getting PS4. Already preordered it.
