mortalkombat_legacy.jpgOver the weekend, Mortal Kombat Legacy director Kevin Tancharoen released a new cast shot via Instagram from the upcoming, and much anticipated, second season.

Top Row, from the left - Liu Kang (Brian Tee), Shang Tsung (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), Raiden? (David Lee McInnis), Johnny Cage (Casper Van Dien), Kenshi (Dan Southworth)

Bottom Row - Mileena (Michelle Lee), Ermac? (Kim Do Nguyen), Scorpion (Ian Anthony Dale), director Kevin Tancharoen, Kung Lao (Mark Dacascos), Stryker (Eric Jacobus), Sub-Zero (John Wusah), Kitana (Samantha Jo).

In the image, it's a bit hard to tell exactly who the dark character is to the left of Scorpion and who the character in the white robe is to the right of Shang Tsung. However, stunt coordinator Larnell Stovall also released a cast shot from a slightly different angle and with the cast re-arranged. You can now clearly see red wraps on the mysterious dark character's arms, konfirming that he is indeed Ermac, and the character in the white robe definitely appears to be Raiden based on his trademark hat being more visible.

So I guess that is Ermac? I don't know how I feel about his look.

Yeah, I normally enjoy Kevin's takes on existing characters, but this Ermac has a sort of goblin look to him. Not a fan. Although, there may be CGI effects added to his face for the final cut, so I won't completely hold to my judgement just yet.
I think Scorpion looks better than season 1 but Sub-Zero...He looked awesome in season 1, but his new uniform looks more suitable for Stryker or Tundra..... Doesn't look Ninja-ie/Lin Kuei-ie......
That's really Ermac? I was thinking it was Noob Mokap - Laugh he looks kind of weird but I'm willing to give this look a chance, I remember hating his costumes in MKD but after a little while and realizing that it wasn't to bad, I warmed up to the look and now I think it's awesome
