Actor Michael Jai White, who portrayed Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs in two episodes of 2011's highly popular Mortal Kombat Legacy, as well as the short film Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, has confirmed via Twitter that he will not be returning for the role in season two of the web series. While this is unfortunate news, White however did reveal that he will still be taking on the role of Jax, just now in the highly anticipated third Mortal Kombat feature film, instead!

While not many other details about the third film have been released, Warner Bros. executive Lance Sloan did recently reveal the budget for the movie will be around $40 - $50 million, and the expected USA release is sometime in 2013.
