mk2011_vita.jpgWhen the first Mortal Kombat Vita trailer was released back in February, many assumed the game was going to feature augmented reality by using what the Vita's camera sees as the background arena based solely on the style of the video. However, series co-creator Ed Boon was quick to debunk rumors via Twitter - "Augmented Reality feature in MK Vita? No, just a really cool promotional video."

However, rumors have resurfaced once again, due to the PAX East convention going on right now in Boston. 2d-x.com is claiming the feature does indeed exist in the game. Tyrant-Cenobite of the The Kombat Tabloid has also konfirmed the article to be true, and claims to have footage of the feature in action at the convention, as well - "We are also at PAX and can confirm the validity of this article. We have it captured on footage and will be uploading it along with the rest of the content from the show in due time."

A new teaser trailer was also released this week featuring a live-action Kitana walking high above an urban backdrop.
