According to Wall Street Journal website Market Watch, Warner Bros. has announced that Mortal Kombat (2011) will be releasing on the Playstation Vita sometime in early spring. Unfortunately, no official release date has been given, yet.
According to Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, the game will have both original content not seen in the original, as well as new features designed specifically for Sony's new handheld device. Hmmm, maybe touch driven X-Ray attacks?
At this time, FDMK is still waiting for the official press release from WB. I will update this news story once it's received.
Sounds interesting, but I think it may have much content as the original didn't, like select Goro or Kintaro; or new kombatants as they have done with Gold and Unchained
I'll be mad if they finished the Brutalities for the Vita version.
Nah, Friendships? Maybe. Hara Kiris? Possibly. Brutalities? Unlikely, that seems like something for the next game.
The babalities were stated to be made with the Friendships in mind, and I don't know the deal for Hara-Kiris. And Ed mentioned they couldn't finish the Brutalities in time for MK9, so it seems logical they'd finish it now even though I'd prefer it in the next game.
