The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences have nominated Mortal Kombat (2011) for Fighting Game of the Year in their 15th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards. It's up against contenders Fight Night Champion, King of Fighters XIII, Super Street Fighter 4: 3D Edition, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 15th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards (IAAs). More than a hundred titles were played and evaluated by members of the Academy?s Peer Panels. These panels, one for each award category, are comprised of the game industry?s most experienced and talented men and women who are experts in their chosen fields.
