Kurrently the biggest mystery in the
Mortal Kombat world, that's never been officially konfirmed to be in development, is now showing up as canceled according to
IGN.
Mortal Kombat HD Kollection is rumored to be a remake of classics
Mortal Kombat,
Mortal Kombat II, and
Mortal Kombat 3 with updated high-definition graphics exclusively for the
Playstation 3. However, both
Warner Bros. and
NetherRealm Studios have consistently refused to either konfirm or deny its existence.
With
IGN now showing the kollection as canceled, it would appear that it may have actually been planned or in development. However, one could also say that
IGN also couldn't get any information about the project out of
Warner Bros. or
NetherRealm Studios and gave up on it kompletely and has simply flagged it as canceled.
Who knows? The plot thickens...
