Kotaku is reporting that three companies may possibly be interested in acquiring
Midway -
Ubisoft,
Warner Bros., and a private investor located in Chicago.
According to our sources, Warner Brothers, Ubisoft and a private Chicago investor are all looking over the company for possible acquisition.
We're told that Ubisoft has been in talks with Midway for weeks now and that a vice president for Warner Bros. was visiting the studio just last week.
Reached for comment this morning, a Midway rep said the company does not comment on rumors or speculation.
Please remember that this is only rumor at this point.

Hmm Warner Bros...really?
Ubisoft...? Don't know about them. I only heard like 2 good games from them for the 360.
And private investor lol. I don't know about that. Chicago is having hard problems as it is. With money, politics, and especially the economy. We're losing more jobs than most states, we already have the highest tax in the states, plus talk of rising the taxes even higher.
Rumor or not...oh knows. We'll see.
F*ck Warner Bros. (Gaming division)
F*ck Ubisoft. (I like Tom Clancy's games, though)
And f*ck private investor.
Please, let's all pray for a better company to grab it.
Wow...I think Midway's just...gone, as we know it.
Can you imagine? Mortal Kombat VS...SPLINTER CELL!

Well, ninjas, like Scorpion, are SUPPOSED to be stealthy, so yeah I could imagine...
Actually I would buy it, if you could go around sticking THE spear in people's necks from behind Assassin's Creed-Style. (Another Ubi-game)
