For someone who normally bashes games in his videos, it was quite surprising to see the
Angry Video Game Nerd indicating a sense of approval for the upcoming
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. So much so, that he posted a short video of his first impressions of the game from
E3. If the Nerd thinks it's a good game, then it
MUST be good!

Really....
....Really?
/me goes to watch it
Very brief...but he approves it. I still find it odd and so surreal too.
Good to see this guy among the growing number of people who seem to love the pants off this thing.

Yeah. It's definitely growing on me, as well. At first I despised the whole idea, but after seeing all the gameplay footage from E3 and CC, I'm a little more than excited. My son is also pretty excited, too. He can't wait to play as Joker.
I think the actual game that Midway has designed looks good. I still think it's not fulfilling it's complete potential because of DC and their bullshit restrictions.

Potential as a Mortal Kombat game, or in general?

This game. This game is something they've obviously been working on and had their mind set to do and is looking really good. Although the game is going to be "brutal", you can only go so far before DC or Warner Bro's steps in and says "No, Superman wouldn't do that", or some bullshit like that. This could have been the ultimate re-birth for MK, and they could have pulled out all the stops, restrictions, limitations, and we could have had one of the most shocking MK games to date. Instead, we get Superman, Batman, Shazam, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern... This game seems like it's directed more towards children and what not.. MK isn't a children's game, and it should never be associated with comic-book hero's.

If this game really is great, then it's safe to say that Midway could of done greater, but was unable to due to DCU restrictions.
This is what bothers me the most.
