As some of you may have noticed, I was unusually absent during most of last week. In short, I took a week vacation from work and simply didn't feel like being around computers or the web much. I did manage to post a few news updates about the Flash and Sonya renders, but that was about it. What I'm going to do is simply group together the rest of the things I missed in this one news update.

• Midway officially released the renders for Catwoman and Shang Tsung, which can be viewed here.



• Official Xbox Magazine posted a new podcast interview with Ed Boon, which you can listen to here.



• Gamespot released a new gamplay trailer for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, which can be viewed here. They also released an E3 2008 preview which you can read in full here.



• Midway released MKast #2 in which it is revealed that Captain Marvel and Liu Kang will be playable in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Click here to download it.



• IGN released seven new high-res gameplay screenshots, which you can view here.
