Datusha was a mysterious blade who's origins could be traced back to the realm of Vaeternus. While it is unknown who forged the blade, the soul purpose of its creation was to slay vampires.

The blade possessed many dark qualities. It would corrupt its wielder into thinking they were slaying for a higher purpose. The last vampire to wield Datusha was Kahil Grigesh. He brought Datusha to the Netherrealm where he committed Hara-Kiri with it, thus trapping the blade there, forever.

In Nitara's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon bio, it was revealed that the Kriss Ashrah used to kill demons in order to escape the Netherrealm was actually Datusha.
