The Inner Sanctum was located inside Quan Chi's Fortress. By using the Inner Sanctum, he was able to leave his body to astroplane to other spheres of existence. Quan Chi also used this chamber to periodically recharge himself or to protect his physical form while projecting his consciousness to distant locations.
