Plot Synopsis: In this animated series, warriors from other realms are continuously invading Earthrealm through dimensional tears. The Earthrealm warriors Liu Kang, Kurtis Stryker, Sonya Blade, Jax, Kitana, Sub-Zero, and Nightwolf have been assembled by Raiden to locate and stop these intrusions before Earthrealm is laid waste and its dimensional structure is destroyed.

The most notable aspect of this show was that Quan Chi made his debut appearance in the Mortal Kombat universe.
