I'm not sure how old this is, but I came across this and thought it was interesting. Former Midway LA employee Matthew Doyle has posted a rather curious image on his personal website with the caption "Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks 2 (canceled)". The image appears to be a small section of a planned level for the game.
So was this game previously in development? Was it canceled before it got that far? Was Midway planning on releasing it at a later date? We'll probably never know.

You know....that's pretty interesting.
I'm actually quite interested in it.
But the fire thing has been done before in Shaolin Monks.
Its interesting they did a Raiden sketch. Was it about Raiden and his past or what? What kind of changelle were they thinking. What was the story?
And Shaolin Monk was a good game and different. But there were so many problems with it thou.

This reminds me of the Elder Scroll games, quite similar level design.
Anyway, it's interesting to think they were making/planning to make a Shaolin Monks 2. Perhaps one day they'll take up the idea again, not necessarily the MK team, but a team with Adventure type game experience.

Now that what I was thinking. Elder Scroll or some other game that I can't remember. All I know...it was a good game.

all i know is if they do start the project up again they need to have to story modes one good one evil ,dont know the fighters who would fit the story but it would be kik ass to see, and u get to customize them,change there colors ,clothing,powers,shit like that just a thought
